I had an amazing and inspiring weekend at Breaking The Glass Frame Symposium this past weekend at USC. The event was dedicated to discussing issues women and minorities face in the animation industry and strategies for change. I was on the Women In Animation Next Gen World View alongside these incredible women: Emily Norwind (VP Production Paramount Animation), Janet Wu (Manager, Family Features, Netflix), Tiffany Ford (Story Artist, Director, Illustrator), and Lindsey Olivares (Production Designer, Sony Pictures Animation).
So grateful for the opportunity to share the stage with these wonderful ladies, and meet so many inspiring women!!!
Love love love this film! There's so much heart packed into these tiny minifigs... I can't help but think of our amazing team working on this film and how every moment in this film is influenced by the personalities of its cast and crew! Sending happy "go team go!" vibes to get this one over the finish line!!!
The LEGO Batman Movie premiered this weekend and the reviews are coming in! This from Variety:
Your average Pixar comedy thumbs its nose at a great many things, but “The Lego Batman Movie” is a helter-skelter lampoon in the daftly exhilarating spirit of Mad magazine and the “Naked Gun” films. It’s that quick and cutthroat clever and self-knowing. There’s every chance it will soar at the box office, and make no mistake: It deserves to.
