I am a creator, filmmaker, and artist from Australia living in LA. I'm an Asian-Australian American. I started drawing when I was 3 years old and making films when I was 12 years old. I've been a professional storyboard artist since age 15. I have a BA degree from the University of Sydney where I majored in English and History and was awarded First Class Honours in Australian History. During my Honours I was mentored by the Bicentennial Historian of Australia, Professor Richard Waterhouse, in Australian History and Emeritus Professor John Y. Wong in 20th Century Chinese History. I did 2 years further study in Character Animation at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), before being accepted into the Story training program at Pixar Animation Studios. I worked in the Story Department at Warner Bros and Animal Logic on several feature animated films, and as a story and visual consultant for other live action and animated shorts, TV and features.
My animated short film 'Forget Me Not' was nominated for an Australian Academy Award (AACTA) in 2012, and my live action sci fi short film 'Andromeda' is hitting the festival circuit in July 2018.
